Craig Johnston

When I left school I knew that I wanted a career in sport. I was keen to study subjects relating to health and fitness so decided to come to college to learn more.

My time at college has enabled me to experience all areas of fitness and given me confidence to pursue a career in this area.
I would definitely recommend the college to others as I really enjoyed my time there. The lecturers were very supportive and made the learning process fun.

I feel extremely proud to have won Student of the Year. I am really happy with what I have achieved and I am lucky to have had such great support from the lecturers.

I have moved on to university to study Leisure Management and Tourism. As well as studying, I work part time as a fitness instructor. Once qualified, I see myself travelling the world to train, motivate and help clients achieve their fitness and health goals.
Craig’s lecturer said “Craig’s approach to his course was extremely positive. He certainly makes an excellent role model due to his commitment to sport and fitness.

During his time at college Craig gained experience of personal training through a programme which offered staff the chance to attend free fitness sessions. Craig took the opportunity to take part and excelled. Craig has developed into a well-rounded fitness professional who will do well within this industry.”
