I have always found psychology interesting and knew that was the career route that I wanted to take, so when I left school I came to Ayrshire College to study HNC Social Sciences, which was a great place to start.

The course was fantastic as it covered a wide range of subjects and covered my main interests including psychology, criminology and research methods. I have learnt so much from the course, developing new skills such as organisation skills, communication skills and report writing, all of which will benefit me at university.

I found my college experience to be fulfilling both socially and academically. Due to my disability, I was initially apprehensive about coming to college. However, this was short-lived as both the students and the staff were so supportive. Not only did I leave college with an HNC qualification, I also left with a great group of friends.

I’m so excited to have accepted a place at Glasgow Caledonian University to study Applied Psychology.
