We’ll help you develop your skills for employment, such as working as part of a team and creating a CV to get you noticed.

You’ll be introduced to all vehicle-related systems, including engines, emissions, exhausts, electrical, brakes, fuel, starting, steering and suspension. You’ll get to know a vehicle inside and out, and learn how to perform a range of routine checks.

You’ll look at the effects of vehicles on the environment, including alternative fuels and hybrid/electric vehicles.

You’ll learn about workshop safety and maintenance, vehicle construction and fitting components.

You’ll also build transferable Essential Skills in meaningful contexts to help you become more effective in life, learning, and work. This could be communication, numeracy, ICT, working with others, and problem solving.
