ESOL (National 4)
Part-time, 18 weeks
Applicants should have an SQA (or equivalent) Access 3 (SCQF Level 3) certificate in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) at the previous level studied or complete and ESOL Initial Assessment (with a college lecturer) prior to beginning the course.
This is a freestanding Unit and has been designed for candidates whose first language is not English but who need to develop their ability to use English in a broad range of personal and social contexts. While studying this Unit candidates will develop their competence in the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing in English for personal and social purposes..
Progression on to ESOL at SCQF Level 5.
