This is a personal development programme for unemployed 16-25 year olds. It is an opportunity to develop a range of skills, gain qualifications and meet new people. You will learn through teamwork in the community.

What's Involved

The programme combines group and individual learning activities - indoor and outdoors. During the programme, Team members:

Week 1-2: Meet new people and planning ahead

Week 3: New experiences and residential

Weeks 4-6: Project for the benefit of the community

Weeks 7-8: Complete work placements

Week 9: Plan for the future

Weeks 10-11: Community challenge involving caring for others

Week 12: Team presentation

Go Anywhere

By the end of the programme you will have:

  • Built confidence
  • Increased motivation
  • Uncovered hidden talents
  • Made new friends
  • Improved interview and CV writing techniques
  • Gained awareness of your local community

The HIVE

The HIVE (Hope, Inspiration and Vision in Education) is a bespoke learning space which focuses on preparing young people for their next steps. The programmes aim to develop essential skills, motivation and self-confidence in an innovative and engaging way.

Our courses will develop your skills in a number of areas including team working, enterprise, leadership, employability, and customer care whilst you can look forward to taking part in community projects.
