A minimum of one relevant Higher at grade C or above plus Core Skills at SCQF level 6 or a pass in a relevant NC course or NPA at SCQF Level 6 or equivalent. Applicants with appropriate experience or other training may be accepted without formal qualifications. A place on the course is subject to an interview process.

What's Involved

This course is delivered as part of year one of the University of West of Scotland's BA in Technical Theatre. Having worked though a relevant NC or gained experience from working in other productions, this course starts to formalise your training in all aspects of Technical Production. Through work experience and classroom/training theatre scenarios, you will develop a professional knowledge that will propel you to either HND or employment in the business.

Progression on to a relevant HND course at SCQF Level 8 or onto a University course or employment. There are many unfulfilled vacancies in Technical Theatre and most students find work either whilst at College or soon after.
