Ayr campus on a Tuesday from 6pm to 9pm or a Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm

Kilmarnock campus on a Tuesday from 6pm to 9pm
Intermediate 2 English at B or above, National 5 English at B or above or Standard Grade at credit. Students without any formal qualifications but with life experience and a demonstrable interest in the subject area will also be considered for entry.
Higher English is a rewarding and challenging course that seeks to widen and enrich your knowledge and engagement with the English language. Through the study of both Language and Literature, you will have the opportunity to hone your own skills to a high level.

There are two assessments for Reading and Writing and the creation of a Writing Folio for External Assessment by the SQA. All internal NAB assessments are sat and marked in College, while the Folio is prepared in the student’s own time and submitted to the SQA for marking.
Successful students will be presented for the Higher English exam.
