We’re looking for you to have four National 5s at Grade C or above or four relevant Standard Grades at Credit Level or a pass in a relevant NC course at SCQF Level 5 or equivalent. A place on the course is subject to an interview process. Students without any formal qualifications, but with life experience and a demonstrable interest in the subject area will also be considered for entry and an appropriate portfolio of work is required at time of interview.

What's Involved

The course prepares students with practical skills and study skills for entry to the HNC in fashion design and production with retail. It is mostly practical work developing the sewing and production skills needed to progress to and through the HNC programme. It combines HNC introductory and level 6 units in design and production

This short course is aimed at providing you with a foundation in the key skills areas of fashion design and garment manufacture. This will prepare you for progression to higher level study.
