This course runs on a Tuesday evening 6pm to 9pm for 12 weeks. These times include a period for shut down procedures at the end of the night.
If you love the smell (and taste) of fresh bread and home made cakes, then this is the class for you! It’s for anyone who wants to develop their bread making and baking skills on a personal or professional level.
You don’t need any formal qualifications, just an apron, tea towel and container for your finished products so you can take them home and enjoy!
This 12 week course is an SQA recognised Craft Baking Award, giving you the knowledge and skills to carry out craft baking processes to current industry standards.
It’s a hugely enjoyable class in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Using a range of mixing and preparation techniques, you’ll learn how to create a wide selection of baked products such as breads, bread rolls, Victoria sponge, Swiss roll, apple pie, quiche, shortbread, sausage rolls, apple turnovers, scones and pancakes.
On successful completion, you’ll be awarded an SQA Level 5 certificate.
