On this course you will develop basic graphic design skills and experiment with materials, techniques and processes. You will work on a variety of different projects to explore these graphic design techniques and will build up a portfolio of designs during this 10 week course.

To complete the assessment element of the course you will be given a design brief and will undertake research before beginning to develop your visual ideas and concepts. Once you have established a clear concept you will begin to produce your design piece using Adobe software. After refining the design you will present your finished piece to your tutor who will provide constructive feedback.

When you successfully complete the assessment for this unit you will receive a nationally recognised SQA award – Introduction to Graphic Design at SCQF Level 5.
