What's Involved

The Headshot course is aimed at studio photographers who want to improve their headshot studio lighting techniques and enable them to capture the perfect headshot.

The course is both practical and theory based but, with the emphasis on the practical you will be in the studio a good majority of the weeks. This course is for professionals and amateurs to help them build their skills and take their career to the next level.

DSLR camera required.

The 6 week course covers:

  • Lighting techniques to enhance your model
  • Positioning your model for best effect
  • Editing the headshot (Photoshop/Lightroom)
  • Points to consider when shooting and editing
  • The final output : Print or Digital

Students wishing to partake in the course should have an understanding of the basic principles of photography.

A good understanding of how their camera works in regards to Aperture, ISO, Shutter speed and be familiar with them.

Some knowledge of studio lighting whether constant or Flash and a DSLR camera or mirrorless camera.
