Beginners Digital Photography
This course runs on our Kilwinning campus on Tuesday evening or Ayr on a Thursday evening from 6pm - 9pm for 12 weeks.

You will be required to bring their own DSLR camera with them.
This is a camera techniques evening class which will consist of lectures and practical exercises, with the emphasis on the practical side of photography. This class is designed for those interested in developing their photography skills either for work, self-employment or personal use.
During the programme you will be introduced to all the technical details of using your camera but in a way that is easy to understand.
During this course you will explore how we combine aperture/ISO/shutter speeds to produce your desired results. Your tutor will cover a variety of topics including portraiture, painting with light, landscape photography, rule of thirds and image composition.
Each week you will be given homework projects designed to refine the shooting techniques and build your skills.
By week 5 or 6 you should be shooting on manual mode having made the transition from automatic and will begin working towards your unit assessment.
Participants successfully completing this unit will receive a SQA unit in photography.
