About the Company:
Kays Curling make Olympic Standard Curling Stones that are sought after around the word. Based in Mauchline and currently evolving our business activities in Canada, we are seeking a forward thinking individual with a strong skill set and ‘can do’ attitude. The Role will include aspects of the following where applicable;
Measuring, grading and feeding batches of raw granite into production machinery.
Operating production line equipment, for example a lathe, saw, coring machinery.
Reporting equipment faults to maintenance staff.
Monitoring the production process and carrying out basic testing and quality checks.
Using lifting equipment and forklift trucks (after formal training).
Packing goods ready for shipment.
Cleaning and maintaining work areas and machinery.
Ideally, you will have an engineering background but this is not essential. You may have mechanical experience, production or manufacturing. A Herbert 9C -30 is used to process Ailsa Craig Granite to a high quality finish.
Most importantly, you will be comfortable working with machinery, in compliance with health and safety guidelines. Able to concentrate while doing repetitive tasks, working methodically and to a high standard as part of a team, following instructions from your Team Leader.
As the role may require long periods of standing and lifting granite curling stones, a pro-active awareness of personal health and fitness would be advantageous.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm (to suit applicant, with minimum requirement being 16hrs)
