All vacancies are advertised on the Ayrshire College website vacancies section. You will find a recruitment information pack with all the relevant details and also an application form to be completed. Once completed application forms should be returned via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or post to Human Resources, Ayr Campus, Dam Park, Ayr KA8 0EU before the specified closing date.
After the closing date all application forms are sent to the relevant manager for shortlisting. Completed shortlisting paperwork is then returned to the Human Resources department to arrange the selection process. Applicants who have disclosed a disability on their application form and who meet the essential criteria will be shortlisted.
Due to the high volume of applicants that the College receive, we are unfortunately unable to contact applicants who were unsuccessful at the shortlisting stage, or provide individual feedback as to why an application was unsuccessful. If you would like to check if you were shortlisted you can contact Human Resources on 01292 293005 or email email@example.com
Human Resources will contact shortlisted applicants via email and by post to invite them to attend the selection process for the relevant position. Applicants will be contacted at least seven days prior to their selection process date. Applicants must confirm their attendance with Human Resources by phone on 01292 293005, or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Applicants should advise the Human Resources department of any additional requirements they may have to enable them to fully participate in the selection process when they confirm their attendance.
The selection process chosen for a role depends on the position being recruited. The process will always include a panel interview and may also include one or more of the following: presentation, in tray exercise or unseen written task. The chosen method of selection will be described in writing as part of the invitation letter inviting applicants for interview.
All candidates will be contacted by a member of the panel, following their interview to advise them of the outcome from the selection process. At this point, the successful candidate will be verbally offered the post, subject to pre-employment checks. Letters confirming the outcome from the selection process will be sent to all candidates. The letters to the unsuccessful candidates will also provide information on who to contact should you wish verbal feedback.
Human Resources will contact the successful candidate (subject to pre-employment checks) to arrange for the following pre-employment checks to be undertaken: - eligibility to work in the UK - PVG - Medical Questionnaire - Two references (1 of which should be your current or most recent employers) (Pre-employment checks are likely to take at least two to three weeks to complete). The successful candidate will receive an offer letter subject to pre-employment checks. This will detail their position, hours, work location, salary and holiday entitlement.
When all pre-employment checks have been completed the relevant manager will contact the successful candidate to arrange a suitable start date.
When a start date has been agreed the successful candidate will be issued a formal offer letter from Human Resources. If candidates have any questions during their candidate journey or would like any further information they can contact Human Resources on 01292 293005 or email email@example.com
