Fiona is an innovative and creative leader who began her career as a staff nurse in the early 1980s, and has since progressed to her current role as Chief Nursing Officer for Scotland.
A talented leader with a firm understanding of both the strategic and the role of corporate governance, Fiona is also a strong and active advocate of the educational development of people of all ages and has been personally involved in the development and approval of undergraduate nursing provision across Scotland over the past 25 years.
Fiona is a strong supporter of the College sector and the value that it adds to communities. As a NHS Board Member of 25 years standing, Fiona is well acquainted with Public Service and the Principles that govern Public Life in Scotland.
Her current remit is Vice-Chair of the Board of Management, Chair of the Learning, Teaching and Quality Committee and Chair of the Performance, Review & Remuneration Committee.
