What is North Ayrshire ISLANDS Skills Initiative (NAISI)?

North Ayrshire Council has been allocated £80,000 from Scottish Government’s Islands Skills Fund to deliver a pilot initiative ending 31st March 2023 to support the resilience of the island economy, meet current needs and consider future skills requirements to drive economic growth for the future.

The North Ayrshire ISLANDS Skills Initiative (NAISI) aims to support our islands in addressing education and skills challenges through increasing opportunities for education and skills provision, through work-based learning pathways and to trial new approaches that respond to local skills requirements for jobs on Arran and Cumbrae.
