Whats Involved

Over 30% of new employees leave organisations within their first 6 months in a new role. The costs of this to organisations are significant, not only in financial terms but also with regards to time that has been spent on training and reduced productivity. This course is designed to provide attendees with the skills required to make their on-boarding programmes more effective, and in turn reduce staff turnover and associated recruitment costs.

Course Content:

  • Examining the importance of effective induction & the costs of failure
  • Identifying the phases required in an effective induction programme
  • Awareness of the legal aspects associated with the induction process
  • Exploring methods that can be used to record progress throughout induction
  • Evaluation methods and review points within the induction process
  • Raising awareness of changing employee expectations

At the end of this course attendees will be able to demonstrate increased knowledge of the stages of an effective induction process, the ever-evolving legal context and means with which to record progress. Attendees will also gain further knowledge of tools to evaluate the success of their induction process and have an increased awareness of the changes in employee expectations, with particular focus on employees who are new to the workplace environment.
