Whats Involved

This course is suitable for those who are looking to get the most out of the functionality available within Office 365 for sharing and collaborating. No prior knowledge is required. The session will use the college O365 portal, therefore no work accounts are necessary.

Course Content:

Teams provides a workspace for real-time collaboration and communication, meetings, file and app sharing. With OneDrive for Business you can store, sync, and share work files in the cloud. This course will cover the following:

Microsoft Teams:

  • Collaborating with colleagues using conversations and chat
  • Creating teams and channels
  • Organising and managing files
  • Team meetings
  • Using other O365 apps with Teams

One Drive:

  • Overview of OneDrive
  • Create and manage files and folders
  • Share files and folders
  • Open shared files
  • Manage sharing and permissions
  • Co-author documents
  • Work with online web apps for Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Sort, filter and search
  • Preview/details pane

By the end of this course participants will have an understanding of how they can use Teams and OneDrive to share and collaborate with colleagues.
