What is the course about

This course is delivered by staff from Supported Education and is supplemented by familiar school Pupil Support Staff that will support you.

The units delivered are at SCQF Level 3; however the units have been selected to allow the lecturer to assess the correct level for you and can be adjusted to suit you.

The main aim of the course is to introduce you to College life, attending and studying in preparation for transition to full-time education within the College.

You will have the opportunity to develop the skills needed to plan and create simple media content and to show awareness of production processes. You will develop basic knowledge of the key aspects of media literacy central to creating simple media content.

You will be studying a course called, Creating Media Content. You will learn how to plan and develop ideas in response to a negotiated brief. You will use production skills appropriate to the media content and context. You will learn how to show awareness of the production process and apply knowledge of relevant key aspects of media literacy.

What do I need

You should be working at National 3 level.
