HNC Childhood Practice (Year 1)
This course runs on a Thursday evening from 6pm-9pm for 34 weeks. These times include a period for shut down procedures at the end of the night.

Applicants must be able to evidence a minimum of 20 days relevant and recent work or voluntary experience in an early years setting.
This course will provide candidates with a deep understanding of the values and principles which underpin the Standards for Childhood Practice. It is designed to help learners develop the essential knowledge and skills required to work in early education and childcare settings and reflect the complex nature of the Profession. It will enable candidates to integrate knowledge, theory and practice effectively in the context of current Legislation & Policy including SSSC Code of Practice and National Care Standards.
This course prepares candidates to register with the SSSC at ‘practitioner’ level or progressing to the Higher Education.
