This course runs on a Tuesday evening from 6pm to 9pm for 12 weeks. These times include a period for shut down procedures at the end of the night.

The Medical Terminology course SCQF level 5 is an introduction into the terms used in the medical field such as GP surgeries, hospitals, pharmacies and other related settings. The course is ideal for anyone wanting to learn the basics of medical terminology including medical secretaries, pharmaceutical store employees, medical and nursing students and anyone who is interested in understanding more about the language of medicine.
Here’s just some of what you’ll be doing:
- Understanding how medical terms are formed
- Terminology relating to disease of specific body systems
- Terminology: medical procedures and surgery
- Medical abbreviations
- Terminology relating to drugs
