Applying for Digital Support

Digital Support

If you're currently studying at Ayrshire College, you'll be aware that we now use blended learning to deliver our lessons - blended learning means that most lessons are delivered online.

We are aware that there are many students that are accessing online lessons using their phone, computer or tablet but we know there are some students that are not able to access this kind of technology.

We also know that your circumstances may change during the year and technology that was available to you previously is no longer available.  To help our students we have created a form so that you are able to apply for digital support.  The most common forms of support we provide are the loan of a laptop, Chromebook and Wi-Fi.  We therefore, encourage our students who would encounter financial barriers, which would prevent them from purchasing digital equipment during blended learning, to apply for digital support.

To help us allocate resources to students who need digital support, we ask that you are in receipt of certain benefits and circumstances. Please watch the following video for more information and to check the list for what most accurately applies to you.

If you feel you don't have access to the technology to complete your studies, we would like you to apply for digital support.  The Digital Support Form is available below and you will also be available to find the form on the MyAyrshire app and student emails.
