Who is the course for?
This course is designed for people who love:
- To make things
- Paint things
- Design and build things
- Design Costumes
- Lights and sound for a gig or performance like panto
- Stage Manage a show or concert
- Any of the following: Music Dance Acting Digital Technology
- To have fun and learn
What is the course about?
You will help design, build and paint set for gigs and panto. You will work with NPA Acting and Performance to light the shows and concerts as well as source music and sound effects for the panto/performances. You will make props and design costumes for the actors. You will learn skills that could lead to a course with a guaranteed job at the end of it in an exciting and creative environment in TV, Film, Theatre or Music Industries.
What do I need?
A love of Arts and Technology and a good work ethic. As well as an interview you will require a pass A-C in one of the following NAT 5 subjects:
- Music
- Art
- Drama
- Or any STEM related subject.
How will I be assessed?
All assessments are practical based assessments.
What should I expect?
You will have lots of fun on this course. This course is 100% Practical hands on learning. You will also develop teamwork, communication, and creative thinking skills.

On successful completion of this course a guaranteed place on NC (National Certificate) or HNC (Higher National Certificate) Production Arts (Technical Theatre) with a pass in this subject area.
