This is a Level 3 SVQ based on standards developed by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and is a legal requirement for staff working in roles such as: Practitioner in a Care Home Service for Adults. It is also required for roles such as: Supervisor in a Care at Home Service, Supervisor in Care Home Services for Adults, Supervisor in Housing Support Services, however in addition to a separate Supervisory Qualification. This is a Level 4 SVQ based on standards developed by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and is a legal requirement for staff working in roles such as: Supervisor in Care at Home Services, Supervisor in a Care Home Service for Adults, Supervisor in Housing support Services. Please be aware that this SVQ is also required for the following roles: Managers in Housing Support Services, Managers in Care Home Services for Adults, Managers of an Adult Day Care Service, Managers of Care at Home Service, however additional qualification SVQ Care Services Leadership and Management at SCQF Level 10 is also required. Please note that the exact role titles can differ between different services.
