Overview

This course is aimed at photographers who want to expand their knowledge of both different subject matters and editing techniques.
It's a project-driven but fun course where each week you will be photographing different genres of photography including portraiture, still life, macro, and light painting and then advancing your understanding of the editing techniques by editing the photos you have captured in the previous week.

Upon completion of this course, you will receive a college certificate.

Course Content

Basic knowledge of your camera and its setting is required, perhaps gained in the Beginners Digital Photography evening class, as well as a basic understanding of editing in both Lightroom and Photoshop.
You should own your own DSLR camera and will need to bring this along to class. You will learn through a range of activities such as tutor demonstrations and workshops, as well as class discussion and through self and peer evaluation. By the end of the course, you will have a better understanding of photographic and editing techniques, producing a final portfolio of photographs for your own pleasure or to support an application to one of our full-time courses.

Depending on qualifications and experience you may progress onto one our full time courses in Photography at Level 5, level 6 or HNC level.
