Practical case studies will be undertaken both in college and at home as part of a blended learning approach. To gain specialist accreditation, home study and end assessment are mandatory to achieve accreditation.

The demand for aesthetic beauty just keeps growing! While some clients prefer the accessibility and familiarity of attending one salon for all their beauty needs, others favour the quality and skill of a bespoke current specialist, who provides treatments in one or perhaps two niche areas.

If you have a specialist area that you want to develop into a unique business venture and are looking for the security that a regulated and accredited fully-funded course can provide, then our 12-week specialist course is for you.

Whether you are new to the beauty industry or have worked in it for some time and are looking to upskill, the specialist course could be the perfect short course to achieve this.

This course allows you to fast-track into a niche area, providing all the underpinning knowledge, practical skills, as well as insights to grow through social media marketing.

To apply for this course, you'll need: 

• a passion for the eyebrows and eyelash treatments and beauty industry
• a complete application with a comprehensive personal statement
• age 16 or over
• a desire to excel in the beauty industry
• If you don’t have formal qualifications but have life experience, then we’ll also consider you for a place, so please do apply

Due to the beauty being such a fast-changing industry our aim is always to ensure that your course develops the current skills and knowledge required for positive progression, therefore some of what you study on the course may change.

Here’s just some of what you may study:

• eyelash and eyebrow tinting: eyebrow sculpting, including measuring and shaping
• eyelash extensions
• eyebrow lamination
• eyelash lifting
• hygiene and health and safety protocols
• client consultation
• product knowledge
• social media marketing
• industry insurance protocols
• you’ll also develop your skills through working in our commercial training salons

When you successfully complete this course, you may progress to: Industry working as an employed or self-employed Contemporary Eyelash and Eyebrow Specialist. Continue to study on to one of our ITA and/or self-funded commercial short courses or full-time courses.

You will develop the technical skills and the qualities essential for working in the beauty industry.

• Provide eyelash and eyebrow treatments to suit client’s treatment needs
• Carryout effective communication with your clients to understand their requirements and provide appropriate client care including aftercare and homecare advice and product recommendations
• Digital skills to help with the future beauty industry and every-day life
• You’ll build transferable skills in meaningful contexts to help you become more effective in life, learning, and work.
