Overview
Our introductory course can teach you the essential skills and knowledge you need to work as a construction operative. You'll learn how to mix and lay concrete, build drainage systems, lay brickwork and block paving, reinstate paths and paving, level and set out sites, and operate small tools. You'll also gain a broad understanding of the construction industry and the different roles and responsibilities involved.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, you should have a basic understanding of English and maths. If you don't have formal qualifications but have life experience, we'll also consider you for a place on the course.

Alternatively, you may be able to find direct employment in the construction industry as a construction operative.
