Sport and Fitness

If you'd like to work in a sport or exercise support capacity, this is the course for you, as it covers all the key aspects of sports and exercise science, including Sport Psychology and Mechanics.

On successful completion of the HND (2 years), you will also meet the CIMSPA Professional Standard for Gym Instructors, effectively providing you with the correct qualification for working within any gym/exercise facility.

To join this exciting programme, you'll need:

• Genuine enthusiasm for sport and fitness
• Two Graded Highers (A-C) OR successful completion of a relevant NC course at SCQF Level 6
• An interview with us
• Membership in the PVG scheme

If you don't have formal qualifications but possess relevant life experience, we encourage you to apply as you may be considers for a place on the course.

In this course, you may:

Possible roles include Fitness Testing Support, Athlete Support, Active Schools Co-ordinator, Sport/Health Promotion Roles, Gym Instructor, Gym/Fitness Suite Management or Primary/Secondary Teaching (following progression to degree and post graduate study).
