Entry Requirements
To apply for this course, you'll need:
- an HNC Sound Production qualification with preferably 15 credits from Sound Production group award ( 12 credit HNC Pass considered but student may need to pay for 3 extra units before HND completed)
- an interview with us
Course Content
During this course, you may explore:
- in-depth sound production theory and practice, mastering complex recording tasks
- digital audio theory, covering analog to digital conversion and vice versa
- utilisation of digital audio workstations for recording and manipulating audio and MIDI signals
- advanced studio techniques, including multi-track recording, mixing, and mastering
- deepening your knowledge of sound reinforcement technologies
- management and legal aspects of the audio and sound production industries, including contracts and intellectual property
- Audio Post Production: Develop skills in audio post production that will equip you for modern media projects in Film, TV, Radio and Games including Foley Recording, ADR, SFX Recording and Editing, and Broadcast Mixing techniques.
Industry-Standard Equipment and Software: Our state-of-the-art facilities provide you with access to industry-standard equipment and software in studio, sound reinforcement and gaming audio. You'll have hands-on experience with tools like Ableton and Native Instruments, ensuring you're well-prepared for the professional world.
Certified Pro Tools Courses: Some students will have the opportunity to undertake Certified Pro Tools courses. Feel free to reach out to us about this exciting opportunity.
