Ayrshire College Hosts Women’s Leadership Lunch at Westerly Restaurant
On Wednesday, 30 October 2024, Ayrshire College brought together over 40 senior and aspiring leaders from across Ayrshire for a Women’s Leadership Lunch at the Westerly Restaurant on its Ayr Campus. Building on the success of the College’s International Women’s Day event in March, the lunch provided an opportunity for local leaders to reflect on their journeys, share insights, and discuss the future of leadership in Ayrshire.
Attendees heard from Jacqueline Dobson, President of Barrhead Travel, who shared her experiences in the travel industry. Organised in partnership with the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce, the event offered a platform for leaders to connect and explore the challenges and rewards of leadership.
Angela Cox, Principal and Chief Executive of Ayrshire College, said: “ This event provided the opportunity for influential and aspiring leaders across Ayrshire to come together, share their stories, and inspire one another. It was a privilege to listen to Jacqueline Dobson’s leadership journey. Our college mission is to empower people for a changing world. We do this through partnership and influencing the future. Today was an example of how we are empowering our community to thrive.
Jacqueline Dobson added:“ It was a pleasure to join Ayrshire College for this event. Sharing our leadership experiences helps create a foundation for future leaders to build upon. Meeting these remarkable women and hearing the ways they are shaping Ayrshire’s future was truly inspiring.”
