Gas CERTIFICATION
It is a legal requirement for any engineer working on gas in the UK to have and maintain membership of the Gas Safe Register.
For domestic work, registration requires certification in Core Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1) plus each category of appliance you intend to work on.
This needs to be renewed every five years through reassessment.
Engineers whose qualifications have lapsed by more than 12 months need to undertake the initial route to certification below.
NEEDING TO RENEW CURRENT ACS TICKET(S)?
Gas Safety CCN1 Course & Appliances (Re-Assessment)
This course is specifically for engineers who wish to renew their certification to undertake, service, commission and repair specific gas appliances. The course is certificated by BPEC and includes training and assessment. (Please note training is not mandatory for re-assessment.)
Applicants must be currently working in the gas industry and must fully meet the prerequisite requirement to undertake ACS assessments.
Course delivery:
Our CCN1 Re-Assessment Courses consist of 2 nights training (Tuesday and Thursday evenings) with assessment on Friday evening and all day Saturday.

The initial course is suitable for domestic gas engineers whose existing CCN1 or specialist elements has lapsed by more than 12 months
Details:
Week 1: Training on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evening and all day Saturday.
Week 2: Assessment on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evening and all day Saturday.

GLOBAL WIND ORGANISATION (GWO) - BASIC TECHNICAL TRAINING
Ayrshire College is an accredited centre to deliver Global Wind Organisation's (GWO) Basic Technical Training modules (Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulics)
The GWO-accredited training will be made available throughout the year and will be on offer to anyone looking to enter the wind and renewable energy industry, and to anyone who is currently working within the sector but has not yet completed the training.
