Ayrshire College recently welcomed Tom Arthur, Minister for Employment and Investment, alongside leaders in business, public services, and community organisations from across Ayrshire, to the ‘Making and Keeping the £ in Ayrshire’ event at its Willie Mackie Skills Hub on the Kilwinning Campus. As a key partner in the Ayrshire Regional Economic Strategy (RES), Ayrshire College was proud to host this gathering to reflect on the progress of Scotland’s first regional economic strategy to embed Community Wealth Building as a foundation for sustainable, community-led economic growth.
Ayrshire College is delighted to announce its new role as the accrediting body for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) FireSkills course, a programme designed to equip hundreds of young people across Scotland with crucial life and employability skills.
On Thursday, 10th October 2024, Ayrshire College welcomed leaders and experts from the aerospace, engineering, and advanced manufacturing sectors to its Kilmarnock Campus. The event, held in collaboration with Scottish Engineering and the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS), officially marked the College’s membership with both organisations and reinforced its commitment to advancing engineering skills development in Ayrshire.
