Brian Green

Non-Executive Board Member

Brian is Deputy Associate Principal (Academic Quality and Student Experience) and Professor of Learning and Teaching at the University of Strathclyde. Central to these roles is a fundamental commitment to working in partnership with staff and students across the University to develop and implement policy and strategy to deliver the University's educational priorities to support the learner journey and the overall student experience.

At Strathclyde, Brian has led student-focused major projects including the flagship Learning and Teaching Building development and the University’s highly acclaimed Strathclyde Sport facility and is also the academic lead for education pathways through Strathclyde’s International Study Centre.

Externally, Brian is an Academic Reviewer for QAA Scotland for the Tertiary Quality Enhancement Review process and is a member of Universities Scotland Leaning and Teaching Committee, SFC and QAAS advisory groups for Scotland’s Tertiary Quality Enhancement Framework (TQEF) and represents the Scottish sector representative on the Quality Council for UK Higher Education.  As Ayrshire College embeds its TQEF activity this experience should prove helpful in supporting the best possible outcomes for students and staff.

In joining the Board of Management, Brian is committed to working in partnership with students and staff to enhance the student experience and help maximise educational outcomes and success for Ayrshire College.
