1.    Executive Director (Communities and Housing) at North Ayrshire Council (2008-now)

Responsible for delivering a variety of local services including Youth Work, Adult Learning, Community Development, Arts and Heritage, Physical Activity and Sport, Libraries, Community Halls and Centres, Housing, Homelessness, Planning, Building Standards, Trading Standards, Environmental Health, and Building Services (Trades). Provides strategic oversight of service planning across all of the aforementioned service functions, including performance management and compliance, and ensuring that organisational priorities, resources and outcomes are aligned and transparent. 

Responsible for multi- million-pound capital and revenue budgets and for ensuring compliance with corporate policies and statutory duties. Engagement with external scrutiny bodies including Audit Scotland, the Scottish Housing Regulator and the Community Learning and Development Standards Council, as well as internal audit. 

Led the development of a new Directorate wide Performance Framework, bringing together governance, risk and performance information in a single online platform, etc.
