Represented Police Scotland at numerous Boards and Ministerial round tables, discussing Water Safety, Spiking, Drugs, Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and Road/Rail Safety. Chaired Police Scotland meetings, established and led various external partner meetings in response to Spiking, Drug Related Deaths, the roll out of Naloxone for operational police officers
(a first for the UK) and Scotland’s Road Safety Framework to 2030. Led Police Scotland’s involvement in and response to HM Inspectorate of Constabulary in Scotland (HMICS) Thematic Inspection of Road Policing.
Strategic Firearms Commander, Post Incident Manager and Events Policing Lead. Assessor for Fast Track Assessment Centres as an Associate for the College of Policing. Member of the Women’s Justice Leadership Panel for Scotland, a collaboration of senior female leaders within criminal justice, which published a document used by the Scottish Government to tailor services to best meet the needs of different genders.
Chair of Misconduct Disciplinary Hearings for officers and staff. Coach and Mentor. Graduate of the International Collaboration on Policing Masterclass Programme (ICoP) and launched the National Assault Pledge for Scottish partner organisations following a successful implementation in Ayrshire, both in 2022.
