Responsible for setting and managing a balanced budget each financial year within the constraints of tightening public sector funding.
This requires in depth analysis of financial and performance data, collaboration with senior leaders, and the ability to align limited resources to strategic priorities. Provide regular financial reporting to the IJB, including budget monitoring, medium term financial forecasting, and updates on transformation and innovation programmes. Responsible for the production of the IJB’s Annual Accounts ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Role also includes presenting Audit Scotland findings and other national reports in a clear, accessible manner to support sound decision-making.
