Nina Blakey is Executive Director of Corporate Services at the Care Inspectorate, where she leads a broad portfolio of enabling services supporting the organisation’s strategic priorities and the delivery of high-quality public services.
She has extensive senior leadership experience across government, higher education and the third sector. Before joining the Care Inspectorate, Nina was Director of Operations and Transformation at the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority, part of the Ministry of Justice. She previously was Head of Professional Services at the University of Glasgow’s Adam Smith Business School and, for more than 12 years, as charity Chief Executive.
Nina brings considerable experience in organisational transformation, financial stewardship, governance, risk and assurance, workforce strategy, digital change and service improvement. She has led complex organisations and large multidisciplinary teams through periods of significant growth and change.
As a Non-Executive Director of Ayrshire College, Nina is committed to supporting strong governance, educational opportunity and positive outcomes for Ayrshire’s students, communities and economy.
