The New Flexible Workforce Development Fund (NFWDF)
NFWDF gives eligible employers and employees across Scotland access to fully funded training through Ayrshire College.
Funded by the Scottish Government, the New FWDF helps businesses invest in their workforce by supporting employees to develop new skills, gain recognised qualifications and meet changing industry needs – at no cost to the employer.
Funding available
Eligible employers can access up to £15,000 of funded training each year, with up to £5,000 available per eligible employee.
Training is delivered flexibly through Scotland’s colleges and can be tailored to the needs of your organisation and workforce.
Training courses are available in the following areas: Management and Leadership Qualifications; Mental Health and Wellbeing; Personal Development and Soft Skills; IOSH and NEBOSH Health and Safety; IMI Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Maintenance and Repair; Creative and Digital Media; Microsoft Office Skills; Hospitality, and much more.
Who can apply?
The fund is available to employers of all sizes across the private, public and third sectors, provided they:

Meet the fund’s eligibility criteria - an annual payroll bill of £3m+ (or apprenticeship levy payers to access up to £15k worth of training for their staff), while SMEs can apply for up to £5k worth of training.
Employees can also register their interest in funded training, with their employer’s awareness and support.
