Entry Requirements
We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in engineering and at least one of the following:
- a minimum of one relevant Higher at grade C or above
- a relevant NC course at SCQF Level 6 or equivalent, such as NC Manufacture Engineering
- a Foundation Apprenticeship in Engineering

Course Content
Immerse yourself in a curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills. In this course, you may:
- examine materials for product selection
- develop engineering measurement and drawing interpretation skills
- explore principles of mechanical engineering for problem-solving
- operate CAD systems for 2D engineering drawings
- delve into CNC systems and CAD/CAM skills
- understand value engineering for cost-effective product enhancement
- learn engineering management theory that can be applied to effective engineering supervision, planning, production control, quality management, Health & Safety and risk assessment
