Entry Requirements
To study on this course, you'll need:
- a genuine interest in engineering
- three National 4s or equivalent (preferably including Maths and English) OR a relevant SCQF Level 4 course
- an interview with us, featuring an Aptitude Test

Course Content
During this course, you may learn:
- hand fitting techniques for component production
- turning activities using a industrial size lathe for diverse component production
- basic welding processes, including MMA, MIG, and MAG
- wiring and testing electrical equipment and circuits, termination, and component connection
- basic CNC programming and machining activities
- CAD system usage for detailed mechanical engineering drawings
- essential Skills: communication, numeracy, ICT, teamwork, and problem-solving
- IT skills: word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and graphics
