Overview

Information Session: Monday 16 February 2026, In just 10 weeks, you can gain essential skills for a rewarding career in aeronautical engineering. You will receive hands-on training and experience of an industry that has lots of opportunities in Ayrshire. Your future in aeronautical engineering could start here!

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course, though we are looking for candidates who have a technical background. This background doesn’t need to be in the engineering industry, but candidates should be able to demonstrate how their previous experience and hand-skills can be transferred into the aeronautical engineering industry. Successful candidates will also be able to demonstrate their motivation and commitment to work in this rewarding sector.

Course Starts - Monday 23 February 2026 at 9am at Ayr Campus

The focus of the course will be to develop a range of hand-skills relevant for work in the aeronautical engineering industry, work experience at a local aerospace/engineering employer and knowledge to support work-readiness.
