Overview

This short full-time course in Introduction to Sound Production caters for students who have an interest in music and audio production. It concentrates on in the box audio recording, editing and mixing of a variety of sources including original music composition and sound design projects.

All students will learn the basic techniques for live sound reinforcement and health and safety elements associated with this role. You will also take part in group exercises where you will organise and help coordinate practical audio projects with peers in a variety of professional contexts.

Entry Requirements

Qualifications at National 4 as well as a satisfactory short interview with an Ayrshire College lecturer.

You should have at least an interest in the subject areas and a passion for technology and digital applications.
