Overview

Learners with an interest in sport, fitness and physical activity who wish to strengthen their understanding with particular focus on areas within exercise and fitness

Entry Requirements

Evidence of repeated success at SCQF level 5 – learners would ideally currently be undertaking Level 6/higher courses alongside this award.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment across the units will be a mixture of theory and practical and will test knowledge and understanding gained during class time. 

Careers and Further Study

Successful learners can apply for to progress to college for HNC/D1 level study assuming they present a committed approach to studies and a good overall understanding of the area.  Approaching this Level 6 course positively would greatly strengthen any college application.

What should i expect?

Expect a mix of practical and theory work that allows you to strengthen your understanding of physiological function while linking this to practical exercise activities. With a positive approach and suitable additional qualifications learners could expect to make strong applications to HNC level courses within the Sport and Fitness department.
