Overview

This course is for adults who have completed college courses, are thinking about living in their own home or supported accommodation and would also like to explore volunteering or supported employment opportunities now or in the near-future. This course meets the needs of applicants who have a learning disability and/or are Autistic. Students come to college 12 hours per week and will achieve a qualification at SCQF Level 2.

Course Content

This is a two day course. Within your two days, you will learn to be more independent in life through studying the following: Independent Living Skills Common Dangers in the Home Managing an Environmental Area Problem solving Making a Healthy Basic Meal Managing a Difficult Personal Situation

Careers and Further Study

This course aims to help you be successful in your life after college by linking with partners in the community and helping you to explore volunteering and/or supported-employment opportunities.
