Ayrshire College releases app for students
A new app has been launched for Ayrshire College students.
'my Ayrshire College' is available to download now for mobile and tablet devices from the Apple Store and Google Play Store. It can also be used on a web browser at https://ayrshire.myday.cloud/dashboard/student.
The app is brand new for 2020/21 and provides students with easy access to all of the features they are likely to use during their time at college.
By signing in with their student email address, they are taken straight to their own personalised dashboard. The dashboard contains their email inbox, calendar, student information and myLearning area, among many other useful features.
Students are able to see a full breakdown of their Ayrshire College attendance on the app, to make sure they are on track to meet bursary payment or course requirements - with an absence self-certification reporting mechanism included within ‘my Ayrshire College’.
Ayrshire College students also have access to external mental health support from Togetherall, which can be accessed via the 'my Ayrshire College' app.
Within the first 48 hours of 'my Ayrshire College' being made available to download, more than 2,500 students had installed the app.
Richard Simson, Head Of Business Intelligence and Information Systems at Ayrshire College, said: "The My Ayrshire College app is a significant and timely improvement on how students can interact with digital information in connection with their course and the college. This is of particular importance with students spending substantially more time online, and the app provides them with a useful tool that allows them to conveniently check for online updates and plan their coursework more effectively.
"Further improvements will be getting made to the app throughout the year that will continue to enhance the digital experience of our students."
