Last chance to sign up for Ayrshire College graduation

Ayrshire College's virtual graduation for the Class of 2020 is just days away.

On Friday 6 November, non-returning HNC and HND graduates from Ayrshire College will come together online to celebrate their success in the 2019-20 academic session.

Graduates can still register now for the virtual graduation at: https://ayrshire-college-graduation-2020.heysummit.com/.

Ongoing Covid-19 restrictions surrounding indoor events resulted in the cancellation of Ayrshire College’s usual graduation ceremonies at Ayr Town Hall, the Grand Hall in Kilmarnock, and the Abbey Church in Kilwinning.

Ayrshire College has provided an alternative virtual ceremony to recognise the hard work of its students throughout a particularly difficult year.

Students will hear messages of congratulations from their lecturers, as well as celebrities who have taken the time to record their best wishes to help make the occasion feel as special as possible.

The likes of Rangers Football Club manager Steven Gerrard, former Britain's Got Talent winner Jai McDowall and the First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon will feature in Ayrshire College's celebrations.

Ayrshire College Principal Carol Turnbull said: "Graduation days are highlights of our College year and always a favourite occasion for staff and Board members of the College. It is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our students along with those of the wider college, and to reflect on the exceptional talent we have in Ayrshire. It is a different type of celebration this year but, nevertheless, it is important that we acknowledge and celebrate our graduates' achievements."
