Students across Ayrshire College have chosen their new student leaders, with Demi Brown elected as Student President and Natalie Bestwick elected as Student Vice President for the 2026–27 academic year.

Representing the voice of students across the College, Demi and Natalie will work closely with learners, staff and senior leaders to help shape the student experience. Together, they will champion student views, organise events and campaigns throughout the year, promote wellbeing and inclusion, and encourage students to get involved in college life.

They will also represent students at College committees and meetings, including the Board of Management, ensuring the student voice is at the heart of decisions that shape Ayrshire College.

Following a successful election campaign and student vote, Demi and Natalie will now begin preparing for their new roles ahead of the new academic year.

Demi Brown, Student President, said:

I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who voted for me. It's a real privilege to represent our students, and I'm looking forward to working with Natalie, the Student Association and College staff to make sure every student feels heard, supported and able to make the most of their time at Ayrshire College. I can't wait to get started.

Natalie Bestwick, Student Vice President, said:

I'm excited to take on this role and help create opportunities for students to get involved, have their voices heard and enjoy their college experience. Together, we'll listen to what matters most to students and work hard to make a positive difference throughout the year.

As elected officers, Demi and Natalie will lead the Student Association, representing the views and interests of students across Ayrshire College. Throughout the year, they will organise events and campaigns, gather student feedback, support clubs and societies, and promote wellbeing, inclusion and student engagement. They will also represent students on the Board of Management and key College committees, working closely with staff and senior leaders to ensure the student voice helps shape decisions and continually improve the student experience.
