Ayrshire College’s Marketing and Communications team has won Gold in the Social and Digital Media Impact Award category at the FE First Awards!

With the highest number of entries in the awards’ history and colleges competing from right across the UK, this was no small feat. Ayrshire College was the only Scottish college to make the final, and bringing home Gold made the moment even sweeter.

The award recognises the impact of our Empowering People for a Changing World digital realignment project, a strategic refresh designed to ensure our brand presence is as strong, purposeful and consistent online as it is in our communities.

The project took a thoughtful, brand-led approach to reshaping how we communicate across social and digital channels. It wasn’t about simply posting more, it was about posting better. Clearer structure. Stronger storytelling. Greater alignment with our long-term ambitions. And most importantly, content that genuinely connects with students, stakeholders and the wider Ayrshire community.

Collecting the award in a room filled with colleges and sector leaders from across the UK made the moment even more meaningful. It was not just recognition of a project, but of a shared commitment to communicating with clarity, purpose and impact.

This Gold win is a powerful endorsement of the talent and dedication behind the scenes, and one the entire College community can be proud of.

Huge congratulations to everyone involved. A fantastic achievement, and proof that when we align strategy with creativity, great things happen.
