Bartosz’s enthusiasm for aircraft and engineering inspired him to study at Ayrshire College, where his journey took him from the PEO course through to completing his NC and HNC. Along the way, he developed his technical knowledge, gained confidence and discovered a clear ambition to build a career in the aeronautical industry.

One of Bartosz’s biggest challenges was developing his mathematical skills. Rather than letting this hold him back, he put in extra practice and made the most of the support available from his lecturers.

The encouragement he received from maths lecturer Nicola was particularly important. Her support helped him improve his confidence in maths and prepare for his Graded Unit, contributing to his successful completion of the HNC.

Bartosz particularly enjoyed the practical side of his course and the opportunity to use the excellent workshop resources available at the College. Being able to combine practical work with classroom learning gave him an insight into how engineering is carried out in industry.

Receiving his first award was another memorable milestone. For Bartosz, it provided a boost of confidence and motivated him to keep pushing himself and believe in his abilities.

Completing his HNC has given Bartosz more than a qualification. He has developed new skills and greater confidence in himself, which he believes will benefit him in his future career as well as in his personal projects and hobbies.

Bartosz plans to take his passion for aircraft and engineering into the aeronautical industry. His ambition is to build a successful engineering career in a field that he has been fascinated by for years.

Outside of his studies, he enjoys assembling scale models of vehicles – another way to combine his creativity, patience and interest in engineering.
