Darcie Hamilton
Elected Student Member (Student President)
Elected as Student President of Ayrshire College in 2024, Darcie Hamilton brings a strong background in service and quality. Her career began in retail and then transitioned to ensuring high standards of cleanliness as a bus cleaner with Stagecoach, where she focused on safety and sanitation.
Darcie recently completed her HND in Coaching and Developing Sport (2023/24) and has been a student at Ayrshire College for six years. During this time, she has taken on roles such as class ambassador and volunteer coach with Active Schools.
Driven by a passion for helping others and a commitment to high standards, Darcie aims to be a strong advocate for students, representing their needs and experiences to the Board. She is dedicated to enhancing the student experience, ensuring that their voices are heard in policy development and decision-making, and promoting opportunities for engagement and personal growth beyond the classroom.
